That's who he is - here was I thinking it was the guy who took a dive against the Aussie soccer team! In Reuben's defense...... He does play along side Richie McCaw!

I must be missing something here...

Reuben Thorne, former All Black captain, and overrated Canterbury blindside flanker. Recalled to the AB's after 18 months away. Is only selected because:

(a) Lauaki is injured - he would have been the specialist blindside back up to Collins who is twice the player Thorne is

(b) Flavell is undergoing shoulder surgery and appeals as the obvious blindside/lock cover - he is a better lock and a more compelling no 6 - he will replace Thorne for the end of year tour

(c) The young pretender Kaino is not ready for the cauldron of Tri Nations

(d) Jono Gibbes is the forgotten man - Thorne and Jono could have a beer together when the end of year team is picked to commiserate...

Well thats my opinion anyway...

You heard it here first...

Oh, ok, yawn.

I'm actually think it's a god choice. He was in great form in the Super 14.

Obviously he's had a bit of luck to make it though... but he can't be blamed for that!

I meant it's a good choice. But it may be a God choice too.
