The Google Name Game

For years Steve Deur has tormented me with photos from Google. So I thought I'd play a variation on the game, inspired by his latest post. First up though the Deurty Google Photo game - simply Google your friends and find genuine photos of them:

Frank Ritchie

Jacob Powell

Rhett Snell

Fun times late on a Friday night after the Blues were robbed a myopic assistant referee...

But the new variation on Googling your name is to find the most famous other you on the web! Here's the most famous Brett Joneses I could find:

Brett Jones the Country/Alternative Musician
Brett Jones the AFL Player
Brett Jones the Movie Stunt Man

But my personal favourite is this Brett Jones!

Is there a better you out there?

I know! Rhett Snell altar egos are so hard to find!

A few years ago I Googled my name and found about 270 matches, nearly all of which were for another Steve Goble who was a massive fan of Star Trek.

Just two of the results were actually for me. And the punchline? They were both regarding items I'd written about Star Trek!

I sincerely hope the other Steve Goble also found them and sat there wondering "I don't remember writing this...?"

Does Google operate interdimensionally? Is there a chance that this is an interdimensional you?

Yes, assuming that Google is run by the Vogons.

Actually, my personal favorite of Brett Jones is the photo in which Brett resembles a rabbit, in fact, a "rappin' rabbit"! :>)

Who else but me would leave an anonymous comment about Hip Hop? Actually I'm so inept with computers|blogging that I couldn't figure out how to send my comment along with my name! "Anonymous" is much easier than "Sign(ing) up here"!!

There used to be a gay clergyman called Rev. Glen O'Brien who used to pop up on google searches, but he seems to have dissappeared. Now the other me is a rather dull but try-hard Real Estate Agency. http://www.glenobrien.net/
